Finally watching Torchwood. Fucking SHIT thats hot. Always did like Captain Jack Harkness. He was always my favourite in Doctor Who. Fucking cant beat him in Torchwood here though! DAMN!!!!!

* Haven't done a single fucking thing all week. Not course, not writing any of the 4 things I have going. Nothing. Barely even looked at Twitter. TOTAL failure for productivity.
* So badly need a job. I keep getting out scored by pimply high-school drop outs.
* Would LOVE to be on a beach, on my own, up home right now... Settling for cold Melbourne and hot cocoa. Out of marshmallows though.
* I miss having like 100 icons. Ah well.
* Choosing the userpic for this makes me wonder... what the fuck ever did happen to Kett Turton? He was promising at one point, and then... almost zip. Casting couch failure maybe? Cos he was a great actor.
* There's something magical about cirque du soleil soundtracks. They truly take you away somewhere.
* If I had the money, I could eat half a lindt factory tonight.
* Began a small drabble in here for yas. But I ended up liking it too much. So, even though its only 265 words, have horded it for something else now. Bit artsy for what I'll use it for, but I really like it. Have no doubt at all that you guys would have appreciated its philosphical air more. C'est la vie. You'll get the slash when its done.
* There we go though, that counts as something productive this week now.

10.30pm and I'm only NOW getting to toddle into lj, twitter, rss, and facebook. Wouldn't mind if it was fun stuff, but it was droll as fuck course stuff, and I still haven't even got to look at ANY of the going fictions today. That just sucks.

Will swap workload in exchange for Cheetos.

What is with giving me "warning" for things like cheating, infidelity, "Open Marriage" and a singular f/f kiss? These things don't need warnings people. A "Warning" should read more like: "Necrophilia with Chan of under-age Beastiality containing scat scene and deranged author on ice." Otherwise its just... what? and makes me want to scroll right past on pure principle of it. Why would I read the story, when you've just given me the entire fucking plot in the warning!

If you have issues with something as light on as cheating, you've probably chosen the wrong fandom okay.

Go Melbourne! I knew we could win at this! *gets pom poms and cheers us on* We may suck at a lot of things, but send us a flu in Winter...ours will be the strongest, fastest, greastest flu that was. :D

And likely Melbournians wont even notice they've got it. Hah! We'll just put on an extra layer and toddle to wherever in the rain without a brolly like we normally do. :P Happy to note though, that after the State of Origin (football) we've now infected Queenslanders and they are grumbling about it. Pfft. All that sunshine has made them weak. :P

* The fic I'm determined to not write is coming along nicely. 4,000 wordies mid-way through Part III. Sadly still no smut involved which makes a bit disappointed with my self.

* The Quiche Lorraine for dinner is not coming along quite so well. Didn't realise you need some gum or something to make pastry with Gluten Free flour substitute. Ah well. It'll be Quiche Crumble. :P

* Should have named my cat "CBF" for "Cant Be Fucked" Was watching him this morning. Interest in birds - there. Recognition of them as a food group - minimal. Willingness to do anything about apparently annoying noise from birds - Zero. Activity/Movement level - He chose to lick his balls instead. I doubt he would've bothered to expend the energy, if the birds had walked right up to him. Magpie has in the past, Cat's response was to crack open an eyelid, look at it and then go back to sleep.

* Quiche Crumble is out of the oven, and is yay'fully edible despite the pastry fail.

* The cat's energy level now, several hours later... He's gone from liking his balls to sleeping. Agh, the energy!

* Enjoying following Tom Felton on Twitter. Despite the numerous questions from people. "Why the hell are you following Tom Felton?" Answer, because he's interesting, amusing and sometimes posts some very nice pictures of himself.

* Its weird how easily I can separate the actor from his character. Never really watched the movie's. Only saw the first 3 once each and none after that, so maybe that's why.

* Love this theme song from True Blood. Fucking hate the show, but LOVE LOVE LOVE the song.

* Hated Twilight while I'm on that train. Watched it a few times to TRY and understand why the hell everyone is going so insane for it. Still no wiser. I don't get why you'd be interested in a teen aged vamp who doesn't suck human's blood. I'm sorry, but that was GOOD bit of Vampires. What's the point in a vamp who doesn't suck people's blood?

This is the end. Back to word. I want to get as much done as possible, as I probably won't be able to do anything on it tomorrow.

So how are you all? Thought I'd check in and see who is still around here and still reading their flists. lol.

My life is going okay. I love my job. I work with a fantastic group of people. I am looking for a place of my own now. All the ones I like of course being that tiny bit out of my price range. lol. (always the way). We'll see how i go there. Hopefully I'll be able to stretch it.

Its very exciting, after sharing for so long to be pondering places to be by myself, and how I'd furnish this place or that.

The ex I gave a second chance to didn't go so well. Not well at all actually. He turned out to be a bit of an emotionally abusive bastard. I have no idea how many women he slept with. (Though I do know of 2 other women he was "dating" for at least our last 2 months together.)Being long distance - none of this sex was with me for more than only that one weekend. So, yes. I didn't even get sex out of it all. Only a bunch of HUGE phone bills and a stack of very bad lies.

Oh well, I suppose. I gave it a genuine try. More than he will be able to say. Now I can at least make peace with that part of my life and move on. That is a good thing. I think I was carrying that loss for too many years. A shame he grew up into who he did, but at least I sure as HELL won't be pining for him this time. LOL.

Every now and then I still go slash hunting. (like right now) but a lack of time makes it so difficult to commit to new fandoms. For that matter, I cant keep up with the old one. Still haven't had a chance to read the 7th Potter book. Somehow I've avoided spoilers, though stuffs me how. LOL. I think I really should just go looking for the spoilers now. hahaha.


Well. Hopefully you'll all get back to me here, and let me know how your lives have been going. I do still miss you all, even though I can no longer keep up with barely anyone anymore.

Just wanted to say publically (On lj itself) this seems VERY stupid on the part of lj management, as hp slashers are probably the MOST likely to be the ones to pay for their accounts. What a great way for them to screw themselves over. I can tell them now, the time I stopped really writting hp slash was also the time I stopped bothering to pay for my lj account. Dumbarses. Are they attempting a tax write off or what?

Complete in 5 parts. There is an in length review by painless_j if you would like more info before reading. Given the subject matter this could be a wise move for some. But 'A Secret History' is very well told, and not nearly as disturbing as it could have been. Incredibly well done. I really do think you all should read this one. I usually avoid stories of this matter, but this was really very good.

The Heart of It All by thevignette comes heavily recc'd by practically everybody who's recs I trust. By all the people who almost never steer me wrong. SO..even though I've still not had the chance to read it myself yet, I'm just going to trust them all to be right and pass this rec on.
